The Shiny Key

Nadim looked in the magpie's nest. It was full of shiny things. (P.20)

Today I read “The Shiny Key”.
One day when Chip was watching TV. Nadim came to play. At the time, the magic key began to glow and took them and other children into a new adventure. The children were in a wood. Suddenly, Biff saw something shiny and picked it up. It was a beautiful ring. Then, they saw some soldiers. They grabbed the children and said “That ring is stolen.” After that, they took the children to the prince. They was regarded as thieves. But, at that time, a magpie flew down and took the magic key. The children ran after the magpie, and everyone ran after the children. And then they found its nest. Nadim climbed the tree and looked in the nest. It was full of shiny things. Actually, the magpie was thief!
I know many stories like this, but I really wonder why birds stole shiny things such as necklaces, rings and so on. Are these behaviors their instincts? I don’t know but I could have a fun to read.

Ireland

       Today, I'm going to write about a book, Ireland. I didn't known about the history of Ireland, but after reading the book, I learned what Ireland is really like, what I can see there and what happened hundreds of years ago, in Irish history.     Especially, I was surprised at the story of the national flag of Northern Ireland. One day two different Vikings came to a beautiful place in Ulster and both of them wanted to live there. However, neither of them yielded, and as a result, they decided to fight. And a man from the second ship suggested that the first man who holds the land in his hand can keep it. They decided to race. So here goes the point, in the race, the man from the second ship cut off his hand with his sword, and threw the hand. In the end, the hand fell on the beach, so he won the race. That is the story of the Red Hand of Ulster.        I was very surprised and felt history when I learned that the national flag shows graphic thing like that.           I le

Hunter in the Darkness

However, in the morning, your world turns upside down. (p.2) But something is wrong. you feel strange. You want...blood! (p.36) You take a wooden stake in your hands, and push it through your heart. It also goes through Aku's heart behind you! (p.42) Book Review: Hunter in the Darkness, by Ramy Habeeb        This week I read Hunter in the Darkness. This book is a vampire story. This story made me excited and sad. I wrote down three quotes and will discuss them. The first one is: " However, in the morning, your world turns upside down." (p.2). I like this sentence because I feel the world changed, and I guessed something bad will happen. The second one is: " But something is wrong. you feel strange. You want...blood!" (p.36). Henry And Mudge

"Mudge!!" he called, one last time. And Mudge woke up from his lonely sleep, then came running. (P.33~34) Today, I read "Henry And Mudge". This book was so nice and made my heart warm. Henry loves Mudge, and Mudge loves Henry. Henry was alone until Mudge became a member of his family. When Mudge came his house first, he was little puppy. But he is huge now. I was so surprised.
